Confusing Air Quality Map Numbers? Here’s an explanation and solution for you!

Hi All!
We are living in unprecedented times for sure,  It seems more challenges keep on coming.
I wanted to share what I have learned recently about the differing Air Quality Maps and how confusing they can be.  Here is an article that I have found helpful.

What I have gleaned from this is that if you want the latest up to date AQi in any area use www.purpleair.com and make the following two adjustments to get the most accurate current data.
Then, at the bottom left corner you will see a box with data. On the right where it says “None” scroll down and click on LPAPA. You will see the numbers instantly update with accurate readings.  Then to make even clears at the bottom of that box unclick “indoor sensors” and you will then have the best clearest sense of AQI in any area.
I hope this helps you stay safe and make the most of your time when the air clears to get outside and move your body and breathe deeply when the air is fresh!  It seems to change throughout the day so I have this site on and check in frequently to determine when and where to go for our outdoor time!  The first several days we just stayed indoors but, since then we manage to find a window of time and have taken bike rides out at the beach and up in the woods!
I will follow this up with some thoughts on Air Filters for your homes that filter out PM 2.5 wildfire smoke and help filter out viruses and bacteria.
Take good care and as always reach out for any questions or for any help that I can provide you and your families during these difficult times.
